I love children so much and I have always loved them. I adore the magical fairy stories and the books; the smell of ink coming from a new book and its colours; I’m in love with the fairies and with Life.
I discovered a way to express my enormous love by creating children books with thoughtful messages.
When my son was three years old, I made up my mind to create a book especially for him and for his best friends :). I knew that I could write stories about everything and anything.
I have always been very good at essay writing in school, and in addition, I’ve got a vivid imagination. So not surprisingly I wrote my story for them very quickly.
This was my first individual book titled “Who Makes The Honey?” and at that time, I had no idea what exactly I had begun doing. When I was ready with the storyline, I got the urge to do the illustrations myself, and to have the book printed only in two copies - for my son and for his friend.
At that time I knew nothing about Photoshop, page layout, printing, designing, nor did I know anything about the types of paper and ink, the prepress, etc. I had no experience, only did I have a great desire to do it. I didn’t even have the necessary software on my laptop, however, I was sure that if I wanted it with all my heart, all that I really needed to develop my book would come around for me at the perfect time and in the best possible way for me...
And that's exactly how it happened!:)
Miracles do happen when you believe in them, or when you are ready for them. And just like in the fairy tales the right people with the right information and tools started coming into my life and that was enough for me to start. There is always some kind of magic when you start something. You cannot see very far in front of you, however, every new step is revealed to you and you always have everything that you really need for the next one.
Quite often I didn’t really know what to do but I never gave up. I was just doing what I was capable to do, and in the best way, I could do it. Little by little inside me emerged my clear desire to share my love with all the world through my magical books. In my own way, I wanted to make the world more colourful, more harmonious and beautiful through them. I felt like I were a real fairy. In the fairy's world, everything is simple, clear, harmonious and beautiful. It is a world that is closer to the pure children’s world that every one of us has inside.
Sometimes I think that it would be more wonderful if we allowed the child in us to guide us in our lives.
The entire process of creating the personalised books was very exciting from the beginning. For me, it was a learning curve to do the illustrations and everything else by myself. The first book took me a lot of time since I didn’t have any experience and the necessary knowledge.
I will never forget how excited I was when I took my first printed book in my hands. I felt like I flying! I knew for sure that I want to do it again! I wanted (and I still do) to make individual books for all the children around the world. I knew already that this would be my new magic job. I knew it, and I feel it with all my heart and soul.
I have always known that I will be doing something different. I have always wanted to create reasons for pleasant surprises, joy and smiles. I showed my first book to my friends. To my big surprise, they also wanted personalised books, but with different storylines and pictures for their children. And so I began to create new books inspired by the people and their life stories and continue to do it up to now. :)
